Do people actually go along with the TV so called chef celebrities?

What a crock of nonsense they come out with ... just watched some so called expert on how to do strawberries and cream... really?

As someone who actually enjoys cooking, I find it hilarious how up their own backsides some of them can be about food. Not saying they're all like that as it really depends on the context but some are just hilariously out of touch.

Personally speaking, I find more interesting cookery channels on youtube than anything on TV these days.

I like James Martin. He seems to be a nice guy.

Was it fancy strawberries and cream?

What if someone who has never taken an interest in food before wants to learn? (unless it really was cut up some strawberries and chuck some cream on.... That's pretty basic)

Not all food programmes are for the advanced foodie

I agree.

"Nat's What I Reckon" is my current favourite.

Aussie comedian cooking simple, good food with lots of swearing.

What's not to like?

Yeah, not to everyones taste, but swearing doesn't bother me (unless used inappropriate situations / places).

Like in Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, you don’t get a plate, just a piece of old wood balanced on 4 tins of Campbells soup

I do like Rick Stein's programs and I regularly use the BBC food website for recipes. But generally I don't enjoy watching cookery shows.

I love watching their shows, as a die hard foodie but I seriously think we are missing more "basics" shows like Delia used to do.

Lockdown last year really highlighted some people can't even boil an egg let alone make traditional authenric foreign cuisine dish

Went for a meal last week, 13 course with a different wine with every course. It was a taste experience but at £380 I don’t think we will be doing it again. Glad we did it though

I don't know James so can't comment, but there are some celebrity chefs out there who are far from twats, but on the other hand there are some that truly aren't.

Of course, I'm not listed... I did get invited onto Master chef... not because I'm actually a good cook but because I was a novelty being a TS ... go figure ...

Bring back Fanny Craddock & Johnnie! Absolutely entertaining.

Oh,wait a minute we can't they are dead.

I know a new idea for Chanel 4 "celebrity Seance Come Dine With Me!"

Can't be any worse than the crap they currently show....
