So iv recently moved and my cat has moved in to.

Now she's very much an outdoor cat but obviously we will be keeping her in for a while.

I'm worried she's going to get bored so I'd love some creative ideas to keep her entertaind and her claws away from our new sofa.

Your new sofa? No, no no, I don't think you quite understand how this works.

Ohh I'm very she thinks its hers

She thinks my partner is hers too, she adores him and is rather indifferent to me.

"Get her high on catnip "

I have catnip everywhere but it seems to have little effect, maybe I need to try her on harder stuff.

Buy or make her a cat climbing tree, I would love one of them if I were a cat.

Interesting. My two are brother and sister. The female can't get enough fuss and pick up cuddles from me. The Tom wriggles immediately, but if a women ever makes a fuss/picks him up, he's as soppy as soppy. Only gets his paws on their chest as well. Clever cat

Get her one of those tall tower things to play on, she can scratch away on that too.

Or perhaps just get the catnip out occasionally?

She's maybe on a permanent high then

I was always told to put butter on their paws

Oh I hadn't thought of that!

We have laminate flooring so I guess putting butter on her paws would be funny.

grab feliway on amazon - its a diffuser with cat pheromones' that will calm your pussy down and help them settle in more quickly. I used it after moving this year and my boy was much happier with a day or two...

Oh I will give this a go, I know about feliway but didn't think about it this time.

For stress, Felliway diffuser plug-ins. To stop them scratching furniture, you can get special sprays designed to go on furniture such as Kitty Behave or Knock Off Stay Away (they all have odd names like that!) If you don't want to spray on your new couch, spray onto kitchen towel and attach where they scratch. For entertainment, the small balls where you can put Dreamies in work well. Also, small open boxes and crunchy plastic bags (cut open).
