Hey so been on this for just over a month but haven't really had time for it may sound crazy but I didn't join this just to meet women for sex also looking for mates that like going out socialising and having a laugh so is this the right site for that?

Look online for groups where people meet up and share your interests - there’s loads of different groups on Facebook you could join on there too

Cheers I'm not really an online group type of person so I don't really know many but I did join some Facebook groups last year been on a few meets nights out made a lot of friends but it's kind of the same thing with my original friends you always end up doing the same things or calling it a night at 2 in the morning

Look in the Meets Requests & Parties Forum OP, now that lockdown is being lifted there are organised socials starting up again, I've met many good friends, not only through posting on here, but also attending said socials. Good luck OP

You're not really an "on-line group type" yet here you are

It's absolutely possible to find purely platonic friends here, just as anywhere else, either on-line or otherwise, but like anywhere else that takes time and a level of effort on your part and isn't necessarily a conscious thing you look for, it just happens over time as you get to know people.

Getting active in the forums or chat rooms is one way of doing it here, or as others have said, getting along to group socials and the like.

As for falling into regular patterns, I guess that's what happens with friendships and familiarity, but isn't necessarily a bad thing.
