"Loads, I'm a hoarder. My 1988 Stratocaster, owned from new and gigged hard. That guitar gets buried with me. " You must have some great memories playing with the guitar. My late kids dad, made a guitar, must be 30 odd years ago. It has some great artwork on the back. We wouldn't part with it

"I have a Xmas wind up merry-go-round that was given to me by my nan many moons ago, it comes out every year and the first twist if the base is still a treasure to hear its tune" Love that...that is so sweet. When I was a kid my granddad used to sing White Christmas...I now play it every Christmas, it wouldn't be the same without it. It's like a shout out to them

"My Grampy’s war medals, my step dad-dads camera. I have my kids baby teeth dotted about the place too. Enough to make a necklace with at least! " I may have started out with the intention of saving my kids teeth, but 3 kids later and many years, I've long lost them. I probably threw them out!

"I've got a CD from the now sadly deceased singer Jeff Buckley, which was given to me by a good friend when we went to see Jb on my 17th birthday. Before giving the CD to me, my friend gave it to someone he knew who was interviewing Jeff before the gig. When the CD finally made it to me Jeff had signed it. But it wasn't just his signature, he'd gone to the trouble of opening out the inlay, signed my name and written 'Happy birthday.... Love from Jeff Buckley' and surrounded the text with drawings of ballons and presents. It's framed now on my wall and is my favourite possession. I also have John Peels backstage pass from a late 1990s Glastonbury... " What a really thoughtful friend...how cool is that

"Jewellery belonging to my Grandparents. Photos of my kids. Cards written by my Grandparents and other family members who are no longer with us, e.g. I have poems on handmade paper written at Christmas 1913 to my Dad's mum and her siblings, from an Aunt. "I have various bits and pieces all of which are worthless in monetary terms but worth the world to me in value...my Grandad's medals, a domino set for the blind and cribbage board that I used to play with my Great Uncle who was blind, my Nan and Grandad's bread board that was always on the table the whole time I knew them..a (now politically incorrect) money box that my Great Aunt used to put money in for me each week when I was growing up...and now various things of Mum's... ...none of them would mean anything to anyone but me, but they'll be with me till I shuffle off " Sounds like some really great memories there GM The bread board one made me particularly smile as I was close to my grandparents and love reminders of them.

"You must have some great memories playing with the guitar." I do. Countless pub gigs, some great and some rubbish but all memorable in their own way. I'm kind of a geek about industrial design and there's a magic about Fender guitars, they're not handbuilt artisan pieces, they're tools to do a job and do it well and not break, and my 30+ year old, much abused guitar still plays pretty much like new. Sentiment wise, my teddy Simon who's been with me from age 3. He's not weathered as well as the guitar but is still hanging in there, bare patches and wonky eye and all.

"My one pole one person mountain tent.. It's so light I can carry it up a mountain and wild camp in any weather. It goes together with my 4 seasons sleeping bag though so I couldn't choose between them! I've had them for years and years and have had so many solo adventures in the wilds. Precious! " I bet that can be great just getting back to nature and back in touch with your own self

Gorgeous memory to have with the books though. Mine would be a doll my Nan gave me for my second Christmas That was over 50 years ago.
