A slug is a tiny penis that was chopped off by an enraged lady. Then it shrivelled up, went black and came back as a zombie disembodied penis. That's why it leaves those slimy trails everywhere it goes.

At one stage I had massive orange ones with brown spots in my kitchen, they were quite impressive in their own sluggy way.

And nearly big enough to trip over.
