"I don't mind map, but I do sometimes use journalling or morning pages, just to get the feelings out of my system." Journalling is good as well. I won't start that though as it is something that takes time on a regular basis, more like a habit you need to get in to. There definitely is power in putting your thoughts down on paper whether it be as a random spewed out mind map of thoughts, or something more structured as in your journal. Thanks for your comment on this topic.

"I have tried journals but can't keep it up, mind mapping sounds interesting though. Is it helpful to go back and read through everything? " I use a combination of journal writing for writing feeling on the day. The mind mapping for me is how things impact me and what I do that make things better or worse. So I can better understand what I need to do to feel better

"Kind of similar, I did an excerise on internalised beliefs recently. So for example the first one I did was around my internalised beliefs about money, wrote them all down, then followed it up with new beliefs refuting any of the negative ones. " That sounds really positive. In my mind mapping I am exploring all feelings and thoughts on my selected topic. I am allowing myself to feel the negative emotions and then find the good emotions to think about too! I choose to focus on the things that make me feel good and happy about my topic of thought. And this helps ease my mind and make me calm.
