with the moon n stars somewhere in gtr manc

Following on from a face vs body thread....

you are messaging some one, getting along great, seen each other on cam, both attracted to each other.

Swap phone numbers to arrange a meet....

Then you hear ther voice,

he sounds like Joe Pesquali (sp?) On helium/ or she sounds like Janet Street Porter (insert another annoying voice if applicable)

Would you still go ahead with the meet?

The right voice is one of the cherries on a cake, it is not be all and end all.

I believe it is more to do with what comes out of the mouth than the sound it makes IMHO.

I tend to indulge in the odd wind up - tell people I sound like Pasquale or Beckham - or the other extreme and say i'm kinda Morgan Freeman crossed with Barry White!

You can never tell by peoples messages and it's fun to guess. Ditto regional accents. You 'assume' just because someone lives somewhere that they'll sound like Ant & Dec, Jasper Carrot or the odd one you think might be posh and a bit 'horsey'.

The dilemna then arises as to whether you play it straight on the phone or continue the wind up. Tempting to misbehave - but could be a tad confusing when you meet.

And if you find their voice just a little annoying - there's always several ways to stop them speaking!!

little house on the praire

There used to be a guy here and he had slight learning difficulties but everyone made a fuss off him. When he opened his mouth and spoke you could see everyone turn around, it was about 100 times worse than joe pascale but we where obviously used to it. Thursday nights was kareoke and he sang like he spoke but everyone used to clap him which made it worse cause he would go back and do it again, he was a really lovely lad but never heard a voice like it before or since
