When I grew up Ed ‘Stewpot’ Stewart was often respectively referred to in our house for visiting and comforting my dying sister and then playing ‘Lilly the Pink’ for her on hospital radio.

Any of you like a celebrity figure for any personal good deed?

Ahh ha ha it’s an interesting one this so I don’t break any confidentiality but there is a local celebrity where I grew up who everyone knows in my part of the world (to this day) and who gained national fame for a short while (due to a couple of chart successes in the 80s) who’s daughter, who was from the next village and at the same school as me, let me have a boobie squeeze in the 6th form skiing trip back in the day! So to him I say thank you for your offspring!

Jimmy Savile gave my drama group one of his gold tracksuits so we could use it as costume in a pantomime in the Methodist Church Hall

What? Why would you think any of his deeds where good?

Because at the time all we knew was he gave up all his free time volunteering at Stoke Mandeville and St James Hospital and running marathons for charity.

We had Rolf Harris come to our secondary school and did a huge mural which was hung pride of place in the reception area for the rest of my time there .. I wonder how quickly it was removed once the allegations came to light!

(Rolf was always the big, BIG disappointment of Yewtree for me. The others I could believe. But Rolf, heartbreaking )

Well, ALL heartbreaking, obviously, for what they did to poor innocents. But you know what I mean!

I really like Rolf in his heyday...liked the hit song, two little boys and still have his stylophone in its original box.. his paintings were good and then he got exposed.. my lesson.. never worship false idols..

Pfft! Not content with minor 80s pop stars and local regional TV celebrity offspring boobie squeezes? You can’t get much better than that (as boobie squeeze beneficiary anyway!)
