From the land of haribos.

I have been following the news about it from the start and what a tragic end to his football career as news appears that he is unlikely to play football professionally again after his collapse during the euro match between denmark and finland, do you think that he will continue to do something with football, like coaching and maybe being a manager?

I'd hope youth coaching, maybe a pundit in Denmark? He's certainly got playing experience? Campaigns for heart charities and making more people aware of various risks?

He couldnt have had that heart attack in a better place in terms of the medical help he recieved. Hes a lucky fella. Im sure whatever he decides to do will come after spending time with his loved ones. Good luck to him.

I thought that when I read it was his heart.

He might coach or go into something non-physical, if he can't exert himself.

It's great he's alive, but sad his career he loves has been taken from him.

Sorry to hear that but expected after his heart attack. He’s a lucky fella to still be here. I’m sure he’ll still be attached to football in some way once he’s got his head around his is career over so early. Good luck to him

Absolutely spot on, although he's probably had this passion from an early age and it must be devastating.

But yes, much more important that he's still here, to be with friends and family!

Isnt he in his 30s now so in terms of playing time hed have had 2 or 3 years left to play. Hes achieved alot well not when he was at spurs haha

He was been extremely lucky that emergency first aid was available immediately, I hope that he will recover completely.

I guess it’s both, but the latter moreso! A sudden and unexpected journey into the unknown, all he’s used to doing ended. But at least he’s still here as you say!

I wonder if he’ll want to stay in the game in some way or try something else.

The positives for him are that he *should* (assuming he’s not reckless with money) be financially secure for life already (and I’m sure there will be insurances too) so he should have the flexibility to do whatever he wants going forwards within the bounds of his health of course

Yes, he was very lucky too. I also reckon that he will be doing something within the football. I wish him good luck and a speedy recovery too

It’s really great news the medics saved his life

As for a tragic end to his football career … I won’t be shedding any tears that he won’t be earning £50k+ a week ever again …

It’s only football

And he’s only human
