A guy sent me a face pic.

He looked pretty sullen and moody.

Stating in his accompanying message that he never smiles in photos.

I asked him why he wasn't going to crack me a big cheesy grin, and the response was merely "I am smiling with my eyes!"

Now he wasn't! He truly wasn't.

It was more of a glaring stare.

I like photos where people are happy to show they are happy and more importantly show their teeth in a lovely warm smile.

What are your opinions forumites when people don't smile in their photos?

Do they have something to hide like really bad teeth?

Or are they shy?

Or just don't like how they look when they smile?

It would be nice to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I don't like the look of it and when asked to smile it just doesn't feel natural. I rarely smile in photos.

I like how I look when I smile, I am happy to show my teeth as that is my natural smile.

I have tried the pout and it just isn't me. I can't smise for toffee, and just staring blankly at the camera does nothing for me.

I agree with you Chillout on some photos look more like a prision mugshot than a sexy selfie trying to sell yourself.

You have lovely white teeth. I've had too much coffee over the years and I keep meaning to get my gnashers whitened, but any money I save inevitably gets spent on things like car repairs.
