I could only do it for a short period of time - after that I'd want to get out from the nagging and mothering and back to having my own space!

I still live with my parents. It's a culture thing where you don't move out straight away but I don't mind it.

I still have my independence and I get on well with them. There seems to be negative connotations that come with it though, unfortunately.

"Hi just finished work talking to a lad and he was saying got to move back in with his parents could you fit in with there set ways again "

Or from the parents point of view, they have to go back to considering youngsters again.

No f-ing way with my sad excuses for parents. (Fem). I estranged from them when I was 18, I only ever speak to my twin in occassion, and avoid most of the extended family.

Recently moved back in with my elderly dad to look after him. It's going OK but very little chance of getting out to meet and none at all of accommodating which with some automatically means I am married and cheating

My mum lives with me, bless her. It’s all cool. Life goes in circles.

I say “lives” with me, to be fair, I haven’t been in the shed in ages

I did with my 2 kids when my kitchen was getting done and walls knocked down. 2 weeks of breakfast lunch and dinner getting made and good banter. Couldn't do it long term but it was nice to get looked after hand and foot with great company

Good lord, no. I moved out at 15 for good reason. You couldn't pay me to ever go back. 15 years was torture.

Went back a couple of times between jobs but only for a few weeks at a time. Sadly they have passed on now but they made sure both me and my sisters were financially secure

somewhere, someplace

I had to move in with family when my relationship broke down and I moved back to my hometown, was hard to start as obviously had to respect their rules etc and the loss of privacy etc, but it worked out just fine, was there nearly two years and finally able to move out last November to my own place

Sounds a lot like being married.

My eldest son moved back in with me for "a few months" almost 3 years ago, having been gone for 5 years. It means I couldn't host my fwb anymore, which I do miss. But my son was previously very unwell, so I was happy to take him in. X

We (myself and my kids) have lived with my mum since 2015. I sold up and we moved in to allow me to look after her as her mobility is deteriorating and also learnt recently that she has wet eye Macular degeneration so her eyesight is deteriorating also.

Doesn’t sound very cool or very rock n roll but hey ho. We make it work. We have our own living areas and that helps massively as she watches some right rubbish on the telly

My mother is currently moving in with me, following the passing of my sister earlier this year. But she is awesome and she provides me a lifeline in terms child support. And I cook for her. Win win! She rocked up with 5 suitcases a few weeks ago!
