Do friend requests with no message always annoy you?

… do you think this is always a bad thing?

Lots of profiles say if they get a request without so much as a wink or message they block

I wouldn’t send one myself and I usually think cheeky sod and ignore them but I’m wondering …

We like clubs - sometimes things start from a flirty look right? … could a friend request like that ever be just like a flirt? … like look at ussss we’ll even show you our more racy pics as a way of starting a possible chat

… so is it just a different approach maybe?

We use it as yet another filter of who to avoid all contact with.

It's clear on our profile,if they chose to ignore it,we will certainly ignore them

Random friends requests really irritate me. It is mostly single men that send them without ever having spoken. Why? To get access to pics they otherwise wouldn't see to have a quick perve at and probably never even message afterwards. Our friends pics are for exactly that...friends... who we know and have some sort of relationship with. Winks kinda have the same effect on us too....just a lazy way of trying to contact someone. Rant over. Have a great day in the sun everyone.

I'm highly unlikely to add anyone who I've not spoken to if they randomly send a friend request, I may have a look at a wink however as I understand that it's not always easy to think of what to say in a first message.

Friend requests when I dont know you get one of three things.....

Deleted.

A sneaky look when they're not online and then deleted.

They sit there doing nothing and I might one day message if they are what I'm possibly looking for.

A message with a face pic is the way to go every time for me and the face pic is important to me.

If the world was a lovely place that was a paradise of mutual respect and loveliness then yes tapping a button to say “be my friend” would be a great way of saying hello.

However the world is a dark place full of twisted shadow demons, stalkers, and unhinged fairies, it is not a bright airy forest but a malevolent wood, with strange noises emanating from just beyond your peripheral vision which is why we can’t have nice things

That is a hard question

you want people to know you're interested I'm seeing what pictures they're hiding in their friends only but you do not want to feel that you're being a Time waster sending a message perhaps I all comes down to just thoroughly reading the profile and trying to get a feeling for us appropriate those particular folks

As it says on our profile, our friends list is for people who we have met/know in person. If we get a friend request then it just shows that they didn't bother to read our profile, or they don't respect what it says.

They used to. On previous profiles we put explicit pics on public and face photos in friends and we would get random anonymous requests.

So I put the face pics hidden and we had no friend only photos any mysteriously the requests vanished.

My feelings on fab friends has changed. If I find a good connection that would lead to a meet or real friendship I give them our phone numbers and chat away on whatsapp

I don't need to see gynaecological photos to know if we will be a good match

It's not a blanket answer for me, as newer users may be a bit clueless, for example.

I sometimes send a wink, without accepting, so that the balls in their court, to try to spring some words together. If the profile is a definite no, they get blocked.

It clearly states on my profile that my friends list is exclusively made up from people that I have actually met.

If they can’t be bothered to read it, but I like the look of their profile and they either also winked or messaged me, then I patiently explain.

I never delete friends requests because then they can send again.

I rarely block people because I like using notes in case I bump into them at a club etc.

Friend requests when I dont know you get one of three things.....

Deleted.

A sneaky look when they're not online and then deleted.

They sit there doing nothing and I might one day message if they are what I'm possibly looking for.

A message with a face pic is the way to go every time for me and the face pic is important to me."

“I may have a look at a wink however as I understand that it's not always easy to think of what to say in a first message” - good thought - I did also wonder if it could be a bolder version of a wink if they have face pics included x

Lots of profiles say if they get a request without so much as a wink or message they block

I wouldn’t send one myself and I usually think cheeky sod and ignore them but I’m wondering …

… so is it just a different approach maybe?

Kx

Nah. I just wait till they go offline. Accept it. Look at their pics and unfriend them before they come back online.

I’ve done that a little after seeing another suggest it

But I’ve also wondered … if there’s actual face pics in there … is it a way of saying hello rather than rude xx

If the world was a lovely place that was a paradise of mutual respect and loveliness then yes tapping a button to say “be my friend” would be a great way of saying hello.

However the world is a dark place full of twisted shadow demons, stalkers, and unhinged fairies, it is not a bright airy forest but a malevolent wood, with strange noises emanating from just beyond your peripheral vision which is why we can’t have nice things "

beautifully written - but yes I get you. I had wondered if it were just like a “would you like to be friends” kinda thing … possibly / most likely I’m just being too naive

That is a hard question

you want people to know you're interested I'm seeing what pictures they're hiding in their friends only but you do not want to feel that you're being a Time waster sending a message perhaps I all comes down to just thoroughly reading the profile and trying to get a feeling for us appropriate those particular folks "

We don't accept unless it is someone I have been chatting to. Mostly I go in now and again and bulk delete.

Though I have stated on my profile that I accept most requests for perving & those that want to be perved back at. (My friends only photos also have more face pictures.)

Passed Beyond Reach

My viewpoint is if your not worried about pic collectors or anyone viewing your more racy pics and wanking over them why hide them in friends only.

By definition friends only are for established friends else why have it. If you get a random friend request then they are not exactly friends .

A lot of people on this site use friends requests as a badge of honour or popularity the more friends more popular they are? . We never blocked but we only added friendsf we had actually met. Kept our friends list hidden.

The fact it said on the very top of the profile for those who have difficulty in reading or reading just a few words. No winks send message or no unsolicited friend requests and just ignored them and deleted

Kx

"

I don’t mind. Friend requests are always welcome.

"I just had one and I accepted it. I did message them first. "

That’s how it should be done though right? … or the more polite way anyway - I was more thinking of unsolicited ones

I hope your one is a good one. Fingers crossed for you xx

"Ive actually got two friends requests sitting there and i have a blank profile. Makes you wonder what goes through some peoples minds"

… that’s funny … they just randomly send to anyone and everyone then hoping they’ll slip through

xx

"I just leave them at least try to say hello before adding me "

So for you it’s definitely not a possible hello in itself?

On a side note I hope your dog is ok xx

"I never look at them unless I've been chatted to someone and we say about adding each other x

Agreed and only if we are sending the odd message, if not that's what the hotlist is for.

My hotlist is for entirely different reasons

What do you use your hotlist for? xx"

My hotlist is my done list

"I don't trust them! I know they just want to rub their bean over my thighs pics and then go back to EastEnders until they urge comes back again!

… you know there’s still likely bean rubbing over your profile pic anyway right? "

I didn't even know what my profile pic was, had to check

Now, no more bean rubbing

I do send a random friend request but only local peoples. I would chat with someone remote before asking a “friendship “…

I don’t send friends requests full stop.

In the back of my mind I’d be thinking “she’s only accepting cause she feels like she has to”. So instead, if I’m getting along with someone, they can add me. Simple
