I’m open about the fact I have aspergers, but it’s getting worse.

I’ve just been blocked by someone who I’d been talking to all last night on Facebook dating. I did tell her about my condition and how it affects me in social situations. She asked questions and seemed to show an understanding.

So we swapped numbers (her idea) and the conversation continued in WhatsApp. Wake today to see myself blocked and unmatched. The last thing she said to me was “ I’m just having a drink with my neighbours so don’t want to be too rude by texting the entire time but I’ll be back xx”

Sorry to hear that OP. Just remember when people behave like that it's a reflection of them not you. I know its easier said than done but try not to let other's actions dictate your mood. Lucky you found out now rather than it going further.

Learn your worth mate, thats the best thing to do. By proxy these situations will become way more easier.

That's always a risk on any online site, if someone changes their mind it's just too easy to block and forget the other person.

The good thing to come out of it when it happens is you've avoided someone who isn't worth knowing anyway if that's how they treat people.

It's normal for anyone to feel crap if someone blocks them after they've been chatting.

There could be other things going on with her. It's not her loss but it's not yours either. You're just not compatible. X

Part of me wants this thread deleted, I do regret posting it, I don’t want to be showing people my weakness, but then on the other hand, it shows just how good this community can really be.

It happens loads mate. Ive been there myself. It's absolutely gut renching when it does, but not long away from now you'll have forgotten about the whole experience and you'll be back to normal in no time.
