Do others find that first few minutes of a first meet really awkward?

Kinda. It's the contact part that confuses me. I didn't grow up in a family that greeted others with hugs or pecks on the cheek. It's not natural to me but most people do it I've found. The conversation side I'm fine to waffle away to get it started

Yes of course, very awkward.. but that all fades away in the first few minutes, as long as your with the right person!

Walking down the only road I've ever known!

It depends sometimes there is

an awkward silence but once it's broken then I can waffle like the best of em, getting naked quickly helps too

Same here re the hugs bit. I find the making small talk can be a challenge when all you’ve got on your mind is sex hav

Not at all

I am naturally affable & pretty intuitive

The first five minutes is the 'buzz'

It's after them you need to keep my interest

It becomes surreal so I feel detached from the situation and it feels like I’m in a dream like state so it doesn’t feel that awkward, this is how I usually deal with things that aren’t run of the mill.

Wouldn't we just waffle too much, or have we got plenty of time?

I'd say we'd have plenty of time

Yes! I'm the most awkward behaving person ever in that "break it or make it" moment

I cover that up with humour, giggles and general gesturing, infantile flirting and a very shy smile. Usually it does the job of breaking the ice at the very least. Then I proceed to break their soul when I start talking and talking and talking and don't let them get a word in. Then Then have to shut me up with a long kiss. So it kind of works. Hurray for awkwardness.
