Are you petty?

Or more of a live and let live person?

I'm definitely petty, not over really silly things but I'm definitely not one to let things slide and I do, subconsciously perhaps, make a mental note of who has fucked me over and how. I don't necessarily seek "revenge" but I will have a little laugh to myself when it happens.

Actually, perhaps I'm evil rather than petty...

I’m not sure if I’m petty but once I’ve reached the point of no return the recipient of that is dead to me and I won’t lose an ounce of sleep lol

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I can let anything slide, sometimes I pick a hill and die on it.

I’d like to do the first one more often and as I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten better at being the duck and letting the water roll

Nope. There's too much negative energy in pettiness and holding grudges. People that wrong you will ultimately reap what they sew. And I will carry on on my merry way.

However it would be wise to take heed and nor let them wrong you repeatedly.

I tend to stew on the wrong doing, lie awake plotting my revenge, thinking of the witty, cutting things I am going to say. then I do nothing as I can't be arsed with it, so I would say - Lazy!

I can be drawn to be petty about the small things but only usually when the big things have got a bit out of control. I generally self correct.

Not at all. Someone has to have done something really bad for me to hold a grudge. If someone I a dick I just withdraw and focus my attention elsewhere.

I used to be. Would let stuff ruminate and dwell on it for far too long. Nowadays have learnt to let things go (mostly) so it would have to be something major for me to just walk away.

This for me too. I don't stand up for myself at work and tend to get trodden on a lot.

No. My version of "revenge" if you want to call it that when someone has fucked me over is just to forget they ever existed and enjoy my life without them in it.

This. I just cut off. Although I’m very very stubborn which maybe could be classed as petty but petty itself no I don’t think I am.

Life encounters shape us.

Some can only meet someone once and if that's not to their liking hate a religion or colour based on that experience.

When relationships go wrong this can change the way we think of the opposite sex.

Things hurt us so we naturally put up a defence which can mean lashing out, maybe over the top but it's the experience that bought us to that point.

We argue, refuse to back down and become blind over silly things. that cold silence that eats away and I'll be damned if I'm going to talk to her/him etc.

Then we avoid people, go round them or not stay in the same room as them because of something small but pride won't let you break the ice and thaw the relationship.

That's our problem as humans.

Pride. We do not wish to appear weak by being agreeable or backing down.

We always want to be right and the loudest voice in the room.

Sometimes you have to say bad things so people listen as you cannot get through to them.

Never go so far to hate someone over words. You are a woman and I am a man so it is impossible for us to agree on everything or anything.

What is important is to treat everyone with respect, dignity and not to dismiss what is said because you disagree.

There is value in crossing swords time to time.

It's how I learn about you.

And you about me

Don't confuse disagreement with hate.

Hate makes you appear ugly and can isolate you.

Disagreement can be a debate that goes on for as long as it takes.

I had some pretty vile stuff thrown at me this week, so it is safe to say some do let hate eat them from the inside.

I'm cautious with my trust I suppose. I don't consider it petty, but if someone hurts me it will be noted in my brain and a little less trust will be bestowed on that person.

I wouldn't relish in their future misfortunes though.

It’s not healthy to hold onto things, and have grudges, you’re only hurting yourself.

It’s much better to let things go, and concentrate on love and compassion, and as midnight says, let your light radiate
