Love or money?

What would you settle for?

Yes, you can have a loving AND a wealthy relationship but that's not realistic for everyone, so if there was a choice which one long term would you settle for? The better looking, more compatible person is poor and the not so great looking but offers a wealthy lifestyle, who would you choose? Just interested.

Hefty Hideaway

The one that helps out around the house and can make poached eggs.

I wouldn’t know what to do with lots of money. I’d much prefer someone compatible and house broken.

I'd have to love someone in order to tolerate sharing all my time and space with them. I was married to a wealthy person and now I'm a disabled single mum who is reliant on benefits to top up my earnings. I'm far happier now than I was in an unfulfilling marriage.

To me there is more wealth in love.

I would be the richest man alive if I had a loving relationship

Money, by default. I've got no interest in love really.

I don't have much interest in either anymore... Not having to worry about money would be nice tho...

Don't think I trust love anymore so it would have to be the wealthy option as I don't know what that's like and both would no doubt eventually end in heartbreak anyway so may as well live the high life for a change.

Saying that nobody could buy me so they'd definitely have to bring more to the table than money. Guess I'm screwed

Without sounding greedy I would take the money. It would be great to spend my older years having the things and going places I have never been able to afford before. I would need to have a couple of dogs to love though.

Guess the answers to this question will be based on experience. If you have love, you'll say love, if you don't have love, you'll say money.

That being said, love everytime

I have plenty of love but very little money and love brings hurt, I don't think a good bank balance would get me down

Wealthy one. Give it a few years, divorce, take half their stuff, go find love.

That was easy

Gosh I'd pick love over money every second of the day and I am very materialistic.

I can't imagine a life without love. It's what makes life worth living imo.

I'd take wealth over shitty love though.

If you had asked “what would be your measure of life’s success” I would say to find love. Money comes and money goes, that’s what money does but to love and be loved.....ah now that is the stuff of dreams

I can't vision myself in a relationship again and I'm very content without romantic love. So if I can put my own spin on it please I would choose money and never have to worry about finding the money for flights to see my family abroad.

It saddens me a bit they missed all of my 20s but on the bright side I plan to see them very soon xx

Compatibility.

There is a richness in love far beyond what wealth can afford.

For wealth can afford all things, but can never have one thing above all.

Enough.

With the right person(s), love is enough.

Love doesn’t last indefinitely

I’d give for the person I got along with best and when it ends we could hopefully remain friends

So in my view personality tops both love and money

We dropped lucky and both think each other are gorgeous in every way and we both think each other are brilliant people too, neither of us are impressed by money, money only buys bigger stuff, it doesn’t finish each others sentences, it doesn’t make you make you a brew every morning for you to wake up to or make you a packed lunch while you’re taking the dog for a morning walk so you don’t have to?? Money is dick, easy come by whores, just pictures of the queen!!!

We've been poor and it ain't pretty. Money is easy to lose and difficult to come by, if the stark choice was in front of me I'd sit down with both people and really discuss what we want our of life. If the poor one was happy to remain poor I'd go for the rich one and it the rich one thought he didn't have to make an effort because he had money I'd look for someone else altogether or stay single.

So the choice isn't love here.

It's about looks.

You go with the one you love because you'll sure as shit regret that you didn't down the line.

Interesting that you never mentioned which one made you happy but concentrated on wealth and looks.

In the words of Jessie J's song

It's not about the money, money, money

We don't need your money, money, money

We just wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag

Ain't about the ch-ch-ching ch-ching

Ain't about the bl-bling-bl-bling

Wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag
