Been a crappy few days here at Posh's Pad but a coffee with a friend, some lovely messages and a surprise phone call today have put a grin on my face.

I went for a swim this morning, I'm in the slow lane due to an injury and I'm walking and moving slowly enough to hear the little old ladies chatting about arranging a night out at the carvery, it just made me feel all warm and happy that they and everyone are slowly getting their lives back

After running a strict Covid ward (and going through many bottles of anti bac spray) and earning the nickname Nurse Rached, the kid finally tested negative for the Covid and we have only 3 more days of self isolation.

That was a reason to smile for sure!

its a really small thing, but I've been able to get the pooch out for walks for the first time in a week.

she's been trotting round with a ridiculously big stick loving life and making people smile. there was one lady in the memorial gardens who the pooch went to say hello to, and she said she'd been having a shitty shitty day and it really cheered her up. my heart burst

Reconnecting with someone I had lots of fun with before and talking all night and morning, that made me smile! He's wow lol. Out of my league but says he fancies me like mad so yay for that and we've made plans to get together soon!

My 3hr bath last night which technically ran into today as I didn't get out until 1am! It was bliss.

Basically just life atm too, it's pretty good.

Three hour training session completed at a reasonably fast pace; new footwear (very carefully chosen) gradually being broken in; no chafing and mildly dehydrated.

Training effect incrementally increasing and training goals being reached ahead of schedule.

No blisters and no overuse injuries.

Very satisfactory day overall; brought a smile to my face as I recovered on sofa!

"I'm always smiling poshy posh majority of the time except when mother nature visits.

Yesterday though I got a nice surprise while I was out at the shops. My school friend I don't get to see much spotted me as her bus was approaching a stop I was walking up to.

That put a big grin on my face waving to her and her boys blowing kisses to them xx "

7 fledgling wrens huddled at the side of my lane. I pulled the car over to investigate (expecting partridge chicks) and Lo! Was chirped at by 7 demanding “teenagers” half the size of my thumb each.

I held 4 in the palm of one hand as the others flitted around me like fairies, chiriping, I found a safe spot near the same hedge (field side) and popped them all in a huddle somewhere safe. I was giddy, giggling at the madness of it all.

As they were able to fly I wasn’t too worried, they will get bolder soon enough. Hats off to wren mum and dad; raising seven kids is something to be proud off

I don't envy them.... 7 is a lot. Hopefully they will all be good kids and look after their parents in their dotage.

I have a wonderful mental image of this tale..... and the giddy giggling. It's given me another smile

It was my birthday and I was reminded in so many ways how lucky I am with the friends and family I have with cards, messages, flowers and hugs. Smiles all round
