couple, us we him her.

Watched this film last night, gosh really tough going had to look away a few times and was in tears for large parts.

But Christ what an amazing lady, strong, intelligent and despite everything against her a survivor.

Truly inspiring but by God did she go through hell.

It’s amazing for her to have done what she did while captured - thinking to leave dna and memorising steps etc. Most people, including myself would just crumble

The Town by The Cross

How do you have the , whatever it takes, to watch these things....

I cannot bring myself to.

I used to many years ago but there seems to be a glut of man on woman crime on t.v. over the last decade or so .... channel 5 and reality being the biggest crime porn purveyors.

Is it entertainment ? I'm tough ..... so why do I hide ? Why does it sicken me so much ?

I hadn’t expected it to be quite so graphic … it was very hard watching and I hadn’t even realised it was actually a true story till the end. Her Nan and mother??? wtaf - they were evil

I think there's a fine line between raising awareness about critical matters, such a VAWG and exploiting those realities for entertainment.

I know from other series, the line from "gritty and realistic" to "gratuitous" is often crossed.

I haven't seen this particular one though, so thanks for bringing it to my attention OP.

We went into it no knowing what to expect I read the bio, didn't watch a trailer.

I must admit to almost turning it off but Mrs wanted to see what happens.

I can't say it's entertainment more informative and educational.

I can't stand films that glamorise this sort of thing such as I spit on your grave.

Watched it many years ago and wish I hadn't.

But this film is disturbing but what really came out of it was her strength and intelligence it's not an easy watch but definitely opened my eyes.

Particularly as it's a true story.

If I'd have started watching, i'd have had to know the end but I know i'd do it with fingers in ears and hands over eyes......

I absolutely loved it but it was very difficult to watch. I was raging when the officers took her in for questioning.

I find things like this have more of an impact since having my daughter. I want to lock her away when I think of shit like this but I know I can't live my life in fear of what might happen.

Yes! I loved what you wrote about the movie showing her strength. What a woman.

Hull

It amazed me how clearly she was thinking while captured. There is no way I could have kept my head like that.
