Am I doing something completely wrong?

I enjoy forums and often join in on many threads however my comments/posts go unnoticed the majority of times, apart from one or two forumites, so what am I doing wrong?

Am I on some sort of “ignore this man at all costs whether in forums or if he messages”

Rant over but gradually getting frustrating now, and not just sexually haha

Doubt you’re doing anything wrong. It’s just how the forum seems to work. I also feel invisible much of the time but there is little to be gained from calling for attention.

Just post away and say what you want to say.

You're not doing anything wrong. Most of my posts go 'unnoticed' (by which I mean don't get replied to apart from a few people) but I do know that posts don't go unnoticed just because they are not replied to.

If you enjoy the forums and commenting keep doing it.

Yeah agree completely there is lots of posts and comments you aren’t gonna please everyone, just comment and your thoughts and move on. I’m new to this so I feel where you are coming from

It happens to us all and its usually for many other innocent reasons and not anything regarding you/me/them/us as individuals. Many threads move at pace with posters submitting simultaneous posts.

You're welcome. I know it can feel like you're invisible at times but I had to pull myself up on it before now when I've thought there'd been some kind of conspiracy against me on the sly or something coz I had a few days where none of my contributions at all got commented on. That was really strange for me and threw me a little. Then I thought about it. Sometimes there's nothing more to add or expand on. Other times the grenades I can throw leave people on edge and they think "i aint fucking going there".

Occasionally I take things too a whole new realm of grimness that leaves people speechless.

And of course, the times when people just can't be arsed or what I've said doesn't interest them

Post in threads where you're going to get a reply - the nocturnal, the early morning one from pp.

Keep posting on different threads, people might not reply to you for all sorts of reasons but once they are familiar with you they are more likely to respond.

The familiar point from Meli is a really good one. I can be extremely marmite like in my posting and very blunt indeed. Not hb pencil blunt, lumphammer blunt. I'm aware of this so I do like to give people time to understand me and my posting style, as well as myself time to gauge them and whether they can take it or whether I need to be a little gentler. I xam call loads of people here a cunt and they know I'm doing it with a smile on my face and virtual dead arm, but others won't realise that or be able to tell when I really am calling them a cunt

I was here for 2 years before I got my first reply and quote, my threads would disappear off page one within minutes, but then I googled some big words and then shoe horned them into thread’s, then I’d get the sapiosexual women message me impressed with my prowess with the English language, it was all very embourgeoisement.

Not all statements provoke disagreement or response, especially if they are well rounded positions. Some people intentionally try provoke responses, we all use the forum differently - some flirt too.

Everybody adds something different to here and, as long as rules are followed, all do and are welcome.

If you make statements, more than open ended questions, you’ll potentially get the respect you deserve for your contribution, unless things aren't well understood, for example.

Overall, it's better to enjoy posting and seek to get all of your satisfaction from that, rather than any spin-off attention or benefit that may accrue.
