Beauty pageants

This country is fast becoming more american than america.

Bloody beauty pageants for tiny kids 2 and 3 yrs of age.

Parents spend a fortune on them and often end up losing their homes because of it.

I personally find it offensive.

Its very often the parent living out their fanatasies on their kids.

Full make up and clothes designed for women. Its dangerous to say the least.

I dont want to see a 3 or 4 yr old looking like a minature woman .

THEY should be out playing with their dollies etc.

Correct!!

Unfortunately society is very product obsessed, and what LOOKS good matters more than what ACTUALLY IS good.

it's a damn shame we are following the americans footsteps when quite clearly the problems are there for us all to see.

I find them offensive too, tiny little girls caked in make up and fake tan and made to look like adults

I even saw that some have false teeth on braces made for when they loose their baby teeth as it maked them look better

Gross

Its just plain wrong. Teaching kids that the most important thing in life is your looks. "Mummy loves you cos your pretty" is a good start to a kids life

nope id ban them and serious look at the parents.

its about bring up kids correctly when they are kids.not forcing them into something like this.

i have seen programmes on these type of shows and the poor kids are forced to do this by aggressive pushy parents and something is not right here.

the child is losing the interaction with other kids and the all important learning because the years when your young pass very quickly.

It's bad enough adult women going to extremes imo, but putting children through it is pathetic, let them be kids, FGS.

Watching a programme about them showed that the parents are the ones that push them into it,they are fiercely competitive and some poor kids are pushed and pushed to do it,it almost seemed abusive to me

i watched a programme on this the other week, it was paris and nicole, when the go to different things, ( forgot what its called)

anyway, they went to this place where the kids where all being tarted up for a beauty pagent. so paris and nicole said, we wanna swap.... we want the parents to enter a beauty pagent and let the kids doll u up....

to cut a long story short, not one of the mums was happy to do this !!!

well now u know what them kids felt like

Shouting and abusing the ref and sometimes even assualting them and other parents.

I consider it abuse actually.

What normal kid, bought up with decent values and not spoilt is gonna say "mummy, can i enter all those competitions"

None. they to busy playing with their friends and scraping their knees and driving you up the wall for this and that from the shops or for xmas,

Ie .. normal behaviour.

They should be banned and not allowed to enter until 16 +

I dont think its healthy to judge or kids on looks alone.

Talent yes but looks no.
