I was in Lidl earlier and tested a perfume they had, thinking it would be awful. I've just caught a whiff and do you know, it's not half bad.

What bargain basement items have you tried that have turned out to be excellent?

Body butter from Poundland. Always got it before from the Bodyshop so saving quite a bit of money.

Aldi's range of meat, their fruit and vegetables and sometimes the odd unexpected bargain. Sadly it is on the far side of town for me but if I pick my times right, it is worth going. You can save a small fortune.

Superdrug own brand perfumes and colognes are fantastic dupes of higher end stuff and are only £11.99.

Artiscent Atelier is the brand name and they are reviewed all over YouTube.

The last time I was in Berlin bought an Anal Intruder 3000 with lubricated fist extension for 20 euros in Aldi.

Uk Aldi offers "Sexy Valentine's day underwear." Matching set for £14.99 without the pegging attachment available in their EU stores.

I didn't realise the UK was so prudish.

Aldi had an excellent BB cream the equivalent of the top range brand that was at least 10 times the price...also Lidl had an excellent protein/kerastase shampoo also a fraction of the top brand equivalent but unfortunately both have been discontinued for now

There is a very cheap brand hair conditioner in Aldi that I just love. It's as good, if not better than expensive brands. Smells divine, and leaves my hair untangled soft and silky.

Why pay more when you can be thrifty and still enjoy great quality products!
