"Anyone from Grimsby- good place to live or not?"

It's a very dated and backwards place the only good thing about it... If you can call it that is the beer and fish and chips are cheap, they also have a decent scooter rally and erm oh yeah awesome northern soul event every year. But yes that's it.

Nothing of excitement in grimsby at all

As you enter Grimsby on the A180 it says Great Grimsby then 50 yards later the sign says Grimsby so it's just that bit of marshland that's great lol

I've been a couple of times. Housing is cheap. That's about the only benefit.

Why do you ask?

There are some nice (if quiet) places near there.

Correct, that's why MK Dons emigrated from Donegal or was it Doncaster?

Somewhere near here

I’m originally from Grimsby and now I’ve moved away I miss it. Like every town there’s good and bad areas. It went into decline after the fishing industry reduced but they’re regenerating parts of the town centre.

Good location, by the sea, close to Hull and Lincoln, Lincolnshire Wolds etc. House prices are cheap. Lots to do depending on what you enjoy.

I'm not too far from Grimsby and visit occasionally. It was a thriving place years ago due to the docks etc. Then it became really run down due to lots of unemployment and that kind of business. They've spoken about spending loads of money to try and get it thriving again, but I don't think anything has been done. There are some really nice villages out that way though and the wolds are pretty.

Lincolnshire

I’m not from the area but visit often.

You can see the effects the decline had on the Town however there seems to be a lot of re-generation work going on around the centre.

Cleethorpes is next to it and that’s a lovely seaside resort. There’s plenty of things to do round there and the wolds surrounding are beautiful.
