Black Velvet is a beautiful song and she was rather beautiful too!

My 80's crush was Debbie Gibson!

But song wise, 'China in your hand' by T'Pau was quality!!

"Love all 80's music "

Below is a list of every UK No1 in the 80's and looking through it, there is some right shite! I love a lot of the 80's music, but there were a lot of novelty records, loads of charity records and worst of all Culture Club and Stock, Aitkin and Waterman! Throw in Renee and Ronata and St Winifreds School Choir and your ears bleed! lol. Looking at Paul McCartneys No1's of the decade and you realise that its not just the Olympics and Jubilee that highlight that he should have given up in 70's!

Had loads of money put behind them (Inc David Bailey doing all their publicity pics) but got nowhere really. Remember them being on OTT opening the program one night with Streetplayer. Had to ask OK Records to order the 12" single version in for me as they'd never heard of it! And..... still got it
