I believe so, I hope the day never comes but if I lost hubby I would be grateful for the time we had. When you truely love someone, time is not an issue

If you have never loved then maybe ignorance is bliss, or the grass is always greener, and maybe a bird in the hand is worth two in a bush

Yes I belive so as life is about exploring and discovering new things, if you have never loved then you have never experienced the joy that it brings.

Yes, I'd say so...I can't imagine a life having never loved or been loved, it's such a wonderful feeling, however fleeting it may be.

Yes, I think so. Love can be infuriating, heartbreaking, exhausting and so many other things. It also brings with it hope, that soaring happiness you feel with them, comfort and joy. There's no feeling quite like it so I'd happily put up with the negatives if it brings such highs into my life.

Love, however fleeting it may be, can make you feel amazing, wanted and part of something bigger than just you.

I pity anyone who has never felt this

It is a bit like the question whether you want to trade times of sadness & despair for times of happiness.

I d say for me I would want the highs in life and accept the lows as part of it. We probably would not appreciate the highs without having the lows?

Absolutely so!

All part of life’s great tapestry and better than an unemotional one!

In the end your happiness and well-being is your responsibility alone.

Accept that, mount the roller coaster and enjoy the ride!

There are many kinds of love! Children animals and partners! I choose to b single and to never love a man again! But have felt love for them and dont regret! But now I manage with love of my family/pets and settle for good friendship with men! For my own reasons x

Yes it is. It hurts so damn much when it's lost, but I don't regret it for a moment. Just don't know if I'll see it again.

Love comes in many forms and doesn't have to be a romantic relationship.

Life without love, is like a fire without flame.

Granted that flame will always burn us eventually.

Love will always hurt, be it relationship wise, family or anything else.

Having lost both my mother and dog 7 months ago(mother) and 5 months ago(the pooch) unexpectedly love really really hurts.

But that's life right.

Most definitely, then you know you’ve lived a life. To be loved and love back is wonderful I’m loved currently by my children and it’s enough for me. My little boy (he’s 7) regularly comes up for a cuddle and tells me he loves me.

Not bothered about romantic love currently, happy enough on my own but if it comes along fine, if not I’ve done it and I feel that’s enough for me.

I don't think it is. I don't think it leads us to appreciate more on the whole, I think it leads us to fear loss again, become insecure and have attachment issues.

Just me then?

Depends on what you could have otherwise achieved during the period of "loving". I'm an old romantic ...

"Better to have loved and lost than never love at all?"

Depends on how you look at it. Is it better to do something very fun and very dangerous (and love is, if anything, a pursuit potentially very harmful to your mental health) or not do it all?

If love is worth it, what about hard drugs? Or skydiving? Or or or...

You can be in love with someone and still be single, loving someone doesn't mean that you have to be a couple in the sense that most of society expects you to be, me and my meta are very much in love with each other but are both still single people who can see, date and sleep with other people in our own right sometimes we may even see them together, we don't live together and are free to lead separate lives if we choose to.

Yes.

Everyone I've ever loved has broken my heart.

It won't stop me from loving in the future.

I hope that those men will one day look back and remember me fondly.

How would you ever have lived, if you’ve never experienced love, living without love is not living, it’s existing.

I think it depends on the nature of the loss and how you're able to deal with it. For some the loss of love seems to taint the rest of their life

You learn so much about yourself and other people when you love someone and have a relationship. The richness of experience that loving partners, children, friends etc has given me is precious. I'd not give up those experiences for anything, even the painful ones.

It is, but the pain of loss can be the worse thing in the world, it can break you.

But you come out the other side a little stronger and also a little harder, because you never want to go through that again

I believe it is. I don't regret any love that made me happy at one point. The trick is knowing when to call it a day before any bitterness develops.
