Dolphins ‘deliberately get high’ on puffer fish nerve toxins by carefully chewing and passing them around

Carefully chewing on the puffer and passing it between one another, the marine mammals then enter what seems to be a trance-like state.

Who would have thought that drug use in the animal world......

They also have the ability to switch off 1/2 their brains so they can sleep and keep an eye on their pod at the same time

Hate to break it to you, but intoxicated dolphins have yet to be recorded in the wild.

They are immune to the pufferfish to in, yes. Though their behaviour does not change during the "high" leading no evidence to it.

Dolphins, just like people, can be huge ass holes, and due to their high intelligence know they can scare the pufferfish to inflate and so they toss their little victim around like a ball or chew toy in some sadistic game of catch.

And there you have it, dolphins are the ass holes of the sea.
