FabSwingers.com forum: Is being bold and loud the same as attention seeking?

Just wondering.

I do not consider myself an attention seeker, however, I have my unique style which is bold and loud, as I am an extrovert, and like bright colours.

Peeps can see my car miles away on a good day, and I stand out in the crowd for colourful Hawaiian shirts. Even my formal work gear is colourful, like wearing an emerald green jacket with red lining with a red shirt etc...

Yet, I do not like unsolicited sexual attention, and my clothes are very conservative in style, like the shorts are down to my knees, and shirts are big and loose and comfy etc...

Therefore, good people of FAB, is being bold and loud the same as attention seeking?

i dont think so. i like bright colours, i just feel better wearing them and i like to see them on other people too.

Hence I wear 2XL in gents sizing, as it is big, comfy and non-clinging.

I prefer gents' trousers too, as they have deeper pockets, and better suited to my shape, which is a Coke can rather than a Coke bottle!

Not at all. There's a huge difference between being confident and outgoing, and all but standing in the middle of the room shouting, "Hey everyone, loook at meeeeeeee"

i just see it as self exspression and being unique ! be boring if people wore the same and looked the same ect ect ect . you can only dress and be the way you want ,that ease and confidence then shines through .

so be bright and colourful and above continue loving being you x

There is a big difference in being extrovert, colourful and confident in who you are - and that is a really positive thing many women would envy.

On the other hand and of course in my _iew only, seeking attention through loud, offensive and dare I say laddish behaviour is quite different and not a positive way to be; it just draws attention to insecurities.

I have always had a quirky dress sense and it does attract attention. But I don't wear the clothes I wear to attract attention, they are things that I personally like. I don't really put a lot of thought into how others _iew me, as I don't really care, the clotheS I wear are what I like and a reflection I suppose on my personality. I have had people copy me, which I'm not keen on. People should develop their own style not copy others.

Its not a deliberate cry for attention, its just me and I'm expressing myself how I want. I'm not naïve enough to realise that my style is a little unique and some people will stare and notice but that's up to them
