I put my lads bunk beds together on my own. First thing the instructions said ‘needs two people’ I said ‘fuck that’ and got to work.

Build it ...they will come

I love flat pack furniture. Nowadays, I need a little help with the physical side nowadays, but I can tell them what to do with it easily enough.

Read the instructions fully, step by step, in sequence.

Visualise the steps.

Visualise the assembly and why things are being done the way they are.

Lay the pieces you need together, in sequences if you can.

Eg, Step 1 parts are here. Step 2 parts are there. Etc. Etc.

Good luck !

I'm Swedish, so I grew up with IKEA, and find flat pack building fun and relaxing!

So if you need a hand, feel free to let me know

This is why I did when I built my bookcase. Much easier. And put the radio on for some light relief because you’ll hit a “why the heck did I bother?!”’wall about halfway through!

Yes, I can follow flatpack instructions. They've always seemed pretty straightforward to me.

Even going back as far as playing with Transformers as a kid, I was always mystified as to why people would rather ignore the instructions and struggle, rather than just following them and getting it right first time.

There and to the left a bit

Always enjoy putting flat pack together so much so that I once considered setting up a business offering it until I worked out there probably wouldn't be that much call for it or money in it to make it worthwhile as a standalone business
