What was your best era?

As we get older we go through different phases of life .. childhood, school, further education, that first job, for some finding true love, getting married, reaching a milestone birthday, retirement ... whatever ...

Each phase of my life has had it’s high points and low points and I guess we are all the people we are because of the journey we have taken through life.

But for you, all things considered, what was your PEAK era and why?

For me I think it was days at University (18-21) - the excitement of leaving home, new found independence, wild parties, first “proper” love, so much freedom and while I thought it was hard at the time I now realise just how easy I had it back then! Truly were a magical few years now I look back.

So how about you?

Gleam Street

Now.

I do what I want (within reason), don't answer to anyone bar myself and am willing and able to stand up for myself where even just a few years ago I'd keep quiet for varying reasons. Way happy with things at the moment

1985, I got a pedal car, a police one with a siren.

Oh and early 2000s when we got married, I guess.

It’s probably a confidence thing too that’s making it easier to pull, I wish I had the confidence I have now as an 18 to 21 year old! My shyness did hold me back but still the best years I think!

Indeed I’d been chronically shy until then. Also now we have the internet where I can lurk looking for meets.

1998.daytona 500

The greatest moment in the history of stock car racing.

It will live with me forever.

Nothing will ever come close to how emotional that moment was for so many.

"Early 90's "

I was gonna say the 90s, for global hypercolor shirts and eclipse jeans but then remembered shellsuits.

Eclipse jeans with a guy smoking a spliff embroidered on the back pocket! Only the cool kids wore them.

I remember having a lovely buttery crumpet one weekend, in the Summer of ‘95, oh those halcyon day, how I missed you.
