I am an experienced diver so mask removal is normal training ....as is air supply removal.

Swimming pools are OK but not in sea water.

It's that weird, stinging sensation when water goes up my nose that gets me. Never had a problem with opening my eyes underwater though.

Nope, I love it. The water is afraid of me because I look deep into the waves and soul.

I love opening my eyes in the public swimming pools and getting eye infections. X

Does it part as you jump in?

Not strange as one is feet first, the other head first.

Not an issue here. Used to be a lifeguard and done some scuba over the years, both fresh and salt water, part of the normal training for both. Once you've done it you acclimatise pretty quickly, just use clean fresh water to rinse when you get out x

In the middle

I wear contacts so goggles are essential, I could take them out but my eyesight is so bad I would swim into things

Nearer than you think

Not afraid at all, but my contact lenses might not last! I have to wear goggles if I'm swimming head in.

Never, ever open your eyes underwater in a chlorinated swimming pool. Our daughter started hallucinating after this, called the doctor, it was a scary experience
