Lol I definitely don't think that's most women. Some people are jealous, no matter what their gender is. I trust people and it's important to do things separately and not to have to worry about whether the other person will imagine something etc.

Some men are very controlling and don't allow their gfs to go out with friends or control what they wear or who they talk to. That's not love obviously.

Surely the nature of a good relationship is where both parties are supportive of each other being themselves, happy and free? Why would you be unhappy with your partner living their best life? Why would you be unhappy of their enjoyment of a good time with others when they are coming home to you? Not only of their own free choice but because whatever a good time they've had nothing beats coming home to you (and vice versa). Surely their having great experiences is not only good for their mental wellbeing but it's also great for the wellbeing of the relationship?

If your happy for your wife to leave and she’s unhappy to go with your friends it sounds like an issue with the marriage itself.

My last serious relationship I hated going out coz it meant I’d miss a night in with my amazing gf. Whenever I did go out as soon as I got home I’d cuddle up next to her and think “why do I even bother when I’ve got this right here”.

And she would encourage me to go out and have fun.

She really was amazing. That’s the issue here. People are settling for “they’re ok”

If my partner goes out and comes home the only thing I'm sometimes jealous of is the food he has ate.

I think jealousy is a very normal emotion, but you need to find ways to keep it under control and ways to not take it out on the other person, especially when they've done nothing wrong.

I definitely get jealous sometimes hearing about women my partner spends time with but I know I'm being unreasonable so I deal with it myself and rarely ever make him feel bad because of it, sometimes I might have a little wobble but I'm not ashamed of that.

It's not a woman thing though. I've personally encountered more men who are jealous and possessive rather than women.
