A hot dog is a hot dog

A hotdog in a roll is just that

It's not a sandwich unless you put hot dogs in bread to make a hotdog sandwich

Ha ha ha

Somewhere In The Ether…

What I want to know is: Is it still classified as a hotdog if you use a regular sausage as opposed to a Frankfurter or Weiner?

Nope.

A sandwich uses sliced bread.

Slap your sausage between a couple of slices of Warburton's and it becomes a sausage sarnie.

What I wonder about more is why we have so many burger restaurants and no (as far as I'm aware) hot dog restaurants!?

You can do just as much with a hot dog as you can a burger, and it's easier to eat.

Surely it would make more sense to start one of those up than fighting for space in the already crowded burger market?

You’ve spotted a hole in the British market!

You might want use a different name than ‘Cocko’s hotdogs’ though. That might send the wrong message
