Depends on the type of lingerie shop you go to and how you ask. There's a fine line between asking for help and being creepy.

Yeah sure wear that on your shopping trip and enjoy. Plus other clothes too right...

I don't think they'd mind you asking about the stockings, I imagine that's a fairly common question. The butt plug might be a bit far, you shouldn't really be going that far in the questioning without consent.
