Ohh no that’s not very nice, I couldn’t give more attention to one over the other, I’ve seen what happens to one child in a family when the other gets everything and they get nothing, no love or affection, it fucks then over, breaks my heart to see it

"Would you say in general the daughter is daddy's girl and mum has soft spot for son "

My mum adores my younger half brother. He was handed the world on a plate growing up. I went to live with my dad when I was 12.

My mum was a total tomboy though - was picked to play football at the 1972 Olympics (but my grandad said she was too young at 16) and became a football referees in the early 80’s.

She definitely prefers her grandsons over her granddaughters too. She’s just not very good with women in general.

Oh and I love my brother too x

Somewhere near here

I’m very much daddy’s girl, I’d be very lost without him. I’m very clearly not my mum's favourite, we’re very different people. Both of my children are mummy boys

No.

Relationships are much more complicated than that.

I am closer to my dad than my mum but that's because I was essentially the son he never had. I was very much a tom boy.

My sister is a few years younger than me and got away with a lot more. She has a very equal relationship with both our parents.

My son is closer to his dad than me.

Yep. I try equalising it with my love, so hopefully they'll be OK.

Not easy though.
