Noooo they are good for hedgehogs to eat and I think it's the black slug that is good for gardens, don't put pellets down as they attract them in to a garden, I think if you get some beer in the bottom of a plastic pop bottle then plae it where thay are the beer attracts them they climb in but cant get back out...I think I remember that right

You need to encourage hedgehogs into your garden they will soon get rid of any slugs or snails.
