Does turning up the number on the fridge making it hotter or colder ?

Higher number is usually colder.

It may also be in "frost stars" "*", 1,2,3,4 etc. The more frosty stars the colder the fridge or freezer.

I believe the number corresponds to the target power setting, ie the higher the number, the more powerful the refrigeration output = colder.

I dont think I have ever seen or had a fridge at home that uses temperature in stead of just numbers, commercial fridges yes. Ones at home no.

I assure you, mine is for him use. The higher the number, the warmer the fridge on mine in my case.

Depends on how you define hotter or colder.

If you turn the numbers up in side gets colder B

Outside gets hotter - heat exchanger has to work harder

So in fact it does both A and B
