Secret hideaway in the pennines

Are you too open with your emotions.

I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, sometimes I wish I wasn't as it would probably have save me a lot of pain in the past, and yet leaving things unsaid can hurt just as much

I am, but is it a bad thing, if someone takes advantage of it, that’s on them!

Im open but guarded. If I trust you I'll be very open and wear my heart on my sleeve.

Otherwise I choose which parts of me to share with others but I'm a firm believer of speaking your truth whoever your talking too

Heart on sleeve with anyone I care about, generally means I get hurt but doesn't mean I change.....

We are what we are (although a little more guarded)

?

It depends. With those who I trust and care for, I'm completely open, even if it may take me a while to admit to those feelings when they're new and let someone in.

With acquaintances or strangers, I have a heart of stone and am devoid of emotion...they don't get past my guard, my trust and openness isn't given easily.

Nope, I'm very friendly but I keep my emotions private. Unless I'm annoyed, that one shows through!

After the past I'm more guarded now, yes I'm really in touch with my emotions but I'm not as open as I once was.

I'm not declaring my love for anyone and I think if I found myself getting attached I'd probably have to walk away for my own good

I’m pretty open with my feelings, I don’t think it’s healthy to bury/hide them.

Nope, I keep it all locked away especially with people I'm not very close to. Very few see that side of me and it takes a hell of a lot of trust to get there.

Acknowledge your emotions, listen to them but also realise you don't have to be governed by them.

I radiate emotion. If I’m feeling it you can most likely see it. I don’t see it as a bad thing though. I have had quite a bit of therapy over the years (bad childhood) she described me as having heightened emotion syndrome. I feel things way too much, she said the best way to cope with it was not to hide but let it shine through, so that is what I do.

Emotions are good, why do people just focus on the negative?

Of course I show joy, happiness, enthusiasm, pleasure, satisfaction etc and it's also good to show upset, anger, sadness etc when it's how you feel or necessary
