Thought this was a fascinating conundrum. Who sides with the man and who with the woman? I think both positions are despicable but if you don't want a baby use a condom.

I probably side slightly with the guy myself. On the one side, if you don't want a baby then don't cum inside women as it's always a risk. But if she's told you she's on birth control and you're trusting her and she abused that trust that's on her I think. If it was a genuine accident then I'd hope the two can talk it out and make a decision that best suits them both.

Follow up question which is relevant to most of us on here to some degree or another - if a woman gets pregnant off a Fab meet would you want her to tell you and include you in any decisions, or take the pregnancy on herself? Xx

If a woman tells a man she's on birth control, and he gives his consent on that understanding, then she is technically doing something very bad in my opinion if she's lying to him. That's not true consent.

Some people will try to sue for any damn thing these days. I really don't know what to think of this situation, condoms are available so why did he not use them ?

When i got pregnant though i was using bc by a boyfriend, i told him before i took the test that if the result was positive that i would be keeping the baby. But that if he didn't agree with that decision he could walk out that door and that would be the end of his responsibility and involvement. He stayed, I was and we got married. The marriage lasted about 10 years.

It's very easy to say wear a condom but if a woman is on the pill, men can put their trust in them that they are doing the right thing.

I never understand why people would want to bring a child into the world if both parents are not fully on board. If a baby isn't planned, a man should have the right to either be involved completely or walk away for good

This would have been a hilarious gag topic but wow.

Both sound like absolute arseholes but the case has clearly been lawyered cos America gets the horn for litigation.

I don't agree with the flippancy of the 'don't want a baby, use a condom' stance. It's up to the couple to come to an agreement of the contraception they use & communicate when they want to change this. Otherwise it's deception. It speaks to deeper problems in their relationship.

There's the potential of creating a human, an entire life. The responsibility is monumental. This should be something the couple discuss and plan for, not trick each other into having, and not just follow through with without the ability to care sufficiently for or raise. Not just financially, more importantly emotionally & mentally.

The sperm is a gift to the partner, albeit it does have ramifications.

If he'd been sterilised, then he could have reduced his risks further, as would have wearing a condom.

Birth control is not guaranteed and if a woman takes the pill, he uses a condom, she can still get pregnant.

Sperm ownership is 1 thing. Financial and moral responsibility is another. If a man fathers a child, he is liable to pay for it, it's quite simple. It's about looking after the wellbeing of an innocent child, to ensure they get the start in life that they deserve.

You cum in another, then it's gifted to them, unless you were sexually abused, forcing the extraction.
