Yes, I spelt that correctly!

You’ve been entered into an open inanimate object throwing competition, however, instead of wellies, hammers, shot puts or cabers, you get to choose the item that you’re throwing.

The catch is that you’re getting marked on the weight of the object, how far you throw it and its proportion to you.

For example, if you’re 5’, weigh the same as a wet towel, choose a car, then move it an inch you’ll score high. If you’re 6’4”, built like Annie and do the same, you’ll get fewer points.

So think carefully folks, choose your tossing implement wisely...

I’d need the formula for point scoring to properly decide my item.

Also in your example of the car, does pushing it and it rolling count? Or does it need to be thrown.

I’m not that competitive I promise

Are we talking a small camping kettle over a thatched ale house or a family sized one over a hungry horse house? These things matter

That’s usually not very far though, would you rather downsizing to a microwave or maybe a bedside table for more distance?

The action is unimportant, it’s distance relative to size in relevance to your size that’s important

Wooden framed with part of a wooden axle attached for gripping purposes. The technique would be similar to modern day hammer throwing so a few spins and then launch

Can I choose where to stand and does vertical distance count?

Can I choose to throw something with wings? Like a goose, or a glider...How would that affect the points?

(you can probably see where I'm going with this)

Weight carries as many points as distance. If you want to sacrifice one for the other, that’s up to you!

Right, I'm throwing 43,000 helium balloons tied to a microlite off the top of a very tall thing in the general direction of the jetstream...

My theory is the balloons will take it up and away in the wind, then (after an already substantial distance travelled) eventually pop and it will glide gracefully another 'long way' before hitting the ground. Hopefully it doesn't just glide back to where I'm standing and hit me in the head...

I suppose I gould have picked fewer balloons and a small fixed wing drone...

If you throw a large enough amount, that might help, although it also increases your body weight so it might be counterproductive
