Yeh bet they were on half price sale, and you have the cheek to say we`re tight in Yorkshire, I`ve seen you ironing used wrapping paper and putting it away safely

It only happens once a year but the build-up now lasts 5 or 6 months and then the sales another 2 months. And the debt, for many, a whole lot longer.

Christmas, almost as long-lasting as a DFS sale!

I think it spoils it. Christmas is a time to relax and spend time with family. It shouldn't be the overly commercial, food stuffing competition it's become.

Couldn't agree more, I work for one of the large card companies, but it's beyond me why they need to place cards on sale this early. I have said for a long time that we should have Christmas every four years like the olympics, that way we might appreciate it a whole lot more...
