Hastings Relocation

Evening all!

I'm soon to be relocating down south to Hastings... Never being there before does anyone have recommendations for areas to live? Planning a visit but would like a short list.

Hastings is great ..in parts... there's all types of accommodation for every level of value...and historical battle just up the road ...country ten minutes from the centre seafront ..a thriving art tradition . just come on down and check it out for yourself

In terms of Hastings I haven't been in years. One of the Mods on here is based down there I think.

I intend to... End of June I will be down there house hunting and sight seeing!

In my opinion Hastings is a town of two parts. The FILTH and the locals one is the 'Hip, up and coming side' with poncy bars the other is locals can't afford to live here now, and the big homeless problem and poorly paid jobs. It is ok but there are 2 sides. what are you looking for when here?

As long as I'm close to the beach with a few decent bars I'm happy..its allot pricier than up north so I think I'll be taking what I can afford.

Well in that case there are places all over. Also try Bexhill it is a lot less exciting but close to Hastings.
