A couple of times now people have spotted me on Facebook, via mutual non fab groups etc and sent Messenger messages and directly referring to Fab (I.e did I see you on fab swingers?)

Am I within my rights to be really annoyed about this? Or is it fair game once you’ve shared your pics?

The right place

That would be very annoying. It should be private.

Was it a face pick that got you spotted

If not then it should be Fb them selfs you should be mad at and the other person

Fb for snooping you browser history and then useing they agrochemical to pair people who have got friends in common and vitse the same websites

Also the other person for contacting you off platform without your consent definitely a big no no

Best way to avoid this is use two phones one that you never use Fb on

Or just unstall Fb apps and use Fb though your phones web browsers

To get around the mobile block out down load a user agent browsers and spoof your browser to look like a window 10 pc

Somewhere in Co. Down

I'd find it very creepy if I'm honest. It's why I don't have any face pics up here and when I do share they can't be found anywhere else.

My fab and private life are kept separate and that is how I like it.

They recognised you through your 1 public fab photo?

That's why we don't use whatsapp and I rarely go on FB.

I'd hate that

I would presume it’s Fb snooping and pairing that the problem

somewhere, someplace

I had someone I've said no to on here somehow find me on Facebook and Instagram, some bloody sleuthing was done there as I don't have my name on here and none of my face pics at the time were public.

Needless to say I wasn't best please, if I said no on here don't go seeking me out elsewhere and think it will change the situation, if anything it comes across as quote creepy

"But why be embarrassed or ashamed to on here? "

It’s not about being embarrassed, for me it’s about respect for someone’s life outside of fab. I like to keep my personal life and fab life separate.

exactly this, a lot of the times people on here are like if you have no face pics/profile pic dont bother messaging me without realising that fab life and real life are two separate things, i am more than happy to send a face pic in private so i know exactly who has them rather than displaying it publicly where it can be found by anyone, it is super creepy tho someone going through the effort of finding your socials through fab

If you feel annoyed by it of course it's your right. If someone contacted me on Facebook I'd be pretty miffed. If you want to contact a person do it on fab, if you can't because you're blocked or filters won't let you what on God's green earth makes you think they'd welcome contact elsewhere.

Im not on face book but it would not impress me to be contacted on there by some one from fab.

It's really bad form. I'd block and unfriend anyone who did that, here and there. People can be really twatty about bringing fab into the regular world - I think what goes on here should stay here
