Social meet

I need you wonderful forumites to solve an argument for me?

In my eyes, a social is when you get together for a coffee/drinks/food/whatever and no playing involved.

A meet, is when you get together and have some fun.

Which common sense dictates, a social meet is meeting for food/drinks/whatever, and then having some fun.

My female friend says a social meet does not involve sex.

Who is right?

If I was having a social meet I wouldn’t be expecting sex

A social meet to me is just coffee or lunch or whatever .It only turns into something else if we get on extremely well.Once social is in the title that is what it means to me anyhow .

I had social meet as a social to see if you get on but fun not to be expected but a possible option if the mood takes.

She is. Social is purely a get to know you, quick coffee/drink.

A meet is where play is involved.

Ok, so a question to all you wronguns: what’s the difference between a social and a social meet?

Manchester (he/him)

The clue is in the word; social.

No play on a social meet, they’re for gauging interest and attraction, then deciding if you want to go further at a later date.

You don’t get people having sex at group socials, do you?

Have been on socials that have been just that coffee/drink and others that went on to fun! It depends on what both parties want but certainly no expectations x

A social is a social meet. Social is short for social meet. Same thing. What you’ve done (if I’ve read it right) is taken “social” and “meet” and assumed the two said together means a social then fun. They’re the same thing x

Sorry mate but a social meet is just that a meet to get to know each other face to face. To see if you can both hold a conversation in person and to see if you are both actually attracted to each other physically instead of from behind a keyboard.

I always thought a 'social' was short for 'social meet', and the reason we chuck social on the front is to make it clear that the meet is only for social reasons.

This leaves the stand alone 'meet' as potentially everything else.

A social for us is meeting up for drinks, coffee, chat.... if that leads to fun that day or night then cool it's a social that's turned into a naughty meet. Doesn't really matter to us how it's labelled for instance if we are meeting up with someone for a drink at night we like to call that a "date" each to there own.

Sorry fella your friend is right a social meet is just that a social meeting with somekne for coffee, drinks, lunch ect whwre as a meet or a play meet is a meet with the expectation of sex/play/naughtyness on the cards.

I cant imagine anyone would expect fun on a very first meet whatever u like to call it tbh? If u have never met someone before how will u know u are sexually attracted? U cant tell that unless u are face to face? X

Regardless to what you call it:

Social, Social meet, meet, coffee and a chat, Lunch or Dinner Date.

You should never turn up anywhere with the attitude or view in your mind of getting your dick wet or your pussy pounded!!

Your not even guaranteed to have sex in a club (as an example)

It's a Cockwomble view to have

Social meet is always no sex. It’s an opportunity to see if the spark exists in the real world before meeting for sex.

Some people may not separate the two perhaps to save time or maybe because of long distance
