And not 170 or 200 or 100 or 1000, why do threads end at 175 who decided that is the number that a thread ends on?

It's got something to do with internet paper. A geek will be able to explain it better than me."

The thread imps get knackered writing our posts out on special 'web paper'. 175 is all they can manage.
