I've had 8 hours sleep. I've got nothing to bitch about, I'm not due my period, yet I've woken up feeling like I couldn't give a toss about anything, flat mood, bored, and I have no idea why!

What the fuck is wrong with me! I'm usually a giggly silly person but today I feel oh so serious and glum.

Anyone else get out of the wrong side of bed this morning? I clearly have.

What would be you pull yourself together message to me.... Make it harsh and witty!

It's your age

As soon as the clock strikes midnight on your 40th birthday fuckdoffness ascends.

It starts small and then gets bigger the older you get

So snap out of it you've only just started.

Your welcome

Have you ever thought about becoming a motivational speaker?

Ohhh the temptation. I was quite frustrated by a thread the other day where a guy opened up that thinking about sex, jealousy of others sex lives etc was causing him a problem and was told by numerous posters that it was because he had a penis/was a man.

I suspect that were I to suggest an errant low mood were due to you being a woman I would be publicly flogged.

Instead, I will say I read a very interesting book on how our emotions are made and the author suggests that often times or mind can misinterpret physical symtoms as the wrong mood- she recounts a fluttery tummy on a first date that she took at the time to be an unexpected interest in her partner but turned out to be a bout of food poisoning

Obviously most moods and feelings are less obvious, we are mostly not aware of our blood sugar levels for example or the levels of umpteen different hormones, all or any of which can make us feel low for no apparent reason. One of the things I took from the book is to be more accepting of low moods, not to expect an answer as to what caused them as it could be as simple as too much or too little of an obscure chemical in my food. For me this helps to stop a low or irritable mood being blamed on something (or someone) in my life and genuinely feels like it becomes easier to bear.

I hope your usual bubbly self comes back out to play soon OP.

When waking up and feeling you have a stick up your own arse you can no doubt feel grumpy. This may not be the sticks fault, but the type of stick that you need to consider.

Have you ever thought that replacing the default stick 1.0 with the latest model? Super delux vibrating (4 speeds) stick-o-arso. With this model you'll find that you look forward to waking up with a stick up your arse and will even want to put sticks up others arses too so they can all share in the enjoyment of stick in arse moodyness.

We are not endorsed by stick in arse inc, but if you would like to use our code (Nauti and Mole sticks) when purchasing, we'll get a free kick in the nuts that we can share with all.

Xxx

Actually I think you're right. At 40 I made lots of life changes and that fits quite perfectly. The snap out of it thing isn't happening. I need harsher words I think.

Not seeing any other humans helps a lot with the fuckdoffness.

So does booze and chocolate.

I think giving yourself permission to feel how you feel, and sit with it.

There’s no need to snap out of it, we can’t be happy and bubbly all the time.

I’m currently sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea and just being gentle with myself for having been stressed this morning.

Yup woke up feeling the same this morning for some reason, best thing to do is have a chill make a cup of tea and maybe try to get some fresh air, being out in nature can do wonders for the mood. And if all else fails hide under the duvet and try again tomorrow.

You have been on my hotlist for a long time now! But I get this mood I am the same. I found that a beasting at the gym! Then a soapy wank in the shower sort of up lifted me. But I would love to just get to know someone right now get to know all their kinks
