Nice... I'd rather spend the day embracing the beautiful scenery and then enjoy the hotel after... Having said that a night under the stars can be a reminder that our world has extraordinary beauty

I love both, but camping, though hard work setting up and down, gives me the inner peace I need.

Hotel. If it doesn't have running water and a working lavatory then I'm not spending a night there.

Both.

But for camping it needs to be nice enough weather that I can happily sit around a camp fire and have a few beers whilst chatting to mates and watching the stars.

I'd also need my nice camp bed. It's raised off the ground and is super comfortable. Camping doesn't have to be about being zipped into a sweaty sleeping bag on the hard floor.

But you also get to see rabbits, foxes, deer and bats (and moles if one happens to pop it's head up under your friend's chair like happened to me once) all with beautiful surroundings and fresh air.

The only animal that I wouldn't seeing from that list is a rabbit lool the rest don't seem cute to me.

I'm not so sure that the air is fresh but I get what you mean either way at some point the temperature would drop and I like to be warm so I'll still say hotel xx

That's easy answer for me camping in camper van Campsite or off grid, with my gorgeous OH, maybe some friends along the way. Live in a beautiful parts of country. Spent most of my working life in luxury hotels, some not so luxurious they just become same old

Of the two, a hotel, but I (Luke) am not really into luxury. I'd prefer a homely B&B somewhere in the country, so that's more of a middle ground.

Depends entirely on the weather. Camping in the snow or extreme wet & windy sucks (& not in a good way), camping in fine weather rocks!

Not a fan of hotels - I see a lot due to work.

Big fan of cottages with hut tubs in rural locations. These in my opinion are “the best”!

Newry Down

Camping, definitely.

Over the past decades, I've stayed in dozens of luxurious hotels, but nothing beats wild camping, free of charge, surrounded by beautiful scenery; although an essential is a netted hat to prevent being eaten alive by midges and mosquitoes.

The hotels I have stayed in, I have long forgotten; the camping is unforgettable.

Right now i would choose a hotel as it's been a long time since I've had a bit of luxury.

However I do love camping and in the right location and perfect weather there isn't much that beats it. I don't travel lightly though and do take a lot of home comforts with me

It depends on the type of camping, if it was a bit luxurious like glamping for example if probably swing that way otherwise it'd be a hotel hands down.
