Lincolnshire

Well after 18 months of walking around barefoot at home, or wearing trainers while out walking the dog, we had a weekend socialising and I was excited to be once again wearing my heels.

My feet were not of the same opinion! I'm so out of practice, I need cloud filled shoes!!

Anyone else shared my pain at the weekend, in an attempt to get back to normal?

Chams or Socials

I wore heels for a couple of hours yesterday - it appears my feet have swollen but I was determined to wear them. It was relief to take them off!!!

Now I get to go shoe shopping.....

I wore my heels on an evening out with Mr and our friends and although I felt great to be wearing them again I couldn't wait to kick them off at the end of the evening.

Yes I wore 3 inch heels on Sat whole day, so not even a big task... and as soon as I opened my home door, I kicked them inside even before I entered.

Deepest darkest Peru

I had new gold heeled sandals for the weekend and I had to change them to gold wedges before I left the hotel. Probably the best decision considering the amount of gin consumed

I ended up stood next to mine by the bar and they were well and truly discarded within a couple of hours.

I'm now in heel training. An hour or two every day.

...and there was me, thinking I needed to go to the gym as my post-lockdown priority

I think we need regular progress reports

Redhill

With me it was the opposite- I used lockdown to walk around in my heels and while they will never be as comfortable as my trainers, I am quite confident walking in them now.

Having said that, I definitely won’t be able to walk all around London in my chrome 120mms on Friday, so need to find a suitable alternative...

Oh, now you've clearly been planning ahead. Good thinking.

I used to tuck a pair of foldables in my bag for those in between moments. They're not great, but ok in emergencies - like for getting to/on a tube

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Is it sad that the mention of "Heel training" took on a whole different thing for me and gave me torture tingles...
