I spent this weekend with my partner in Bristol.

We went for a browse around the local shops and I noticed a super little grocers.

It had an amazing selection of fruit and vegetables from around the world.

My eyes were drawn to the giant papayas and I was so happy.

I first tried these fruits on a foreign holiday years ago.

I loved them so much that I used to regularly buy them in Tescos, until a couple of years ago they stopped selling them.

Now I know where I can get these super fruits again!

I bought one, brought it home and have already devoured a large bowl of the fragrant orange chunks.

Have any of you tried giant papaya? Opinions please.

I like mine with greek yogurt, some agave nectar or with lime juice and raspberries!

I did eat chunks of it during preparing it. Probably almost as much as I put in the bowl before covering it in yogurt!

I am so very jealous, I love papayas. I only found them in tiny sizeshere and not too tasty ...I miss them so much that next time I’m in London Il bring a few with me...

There’s so many things you can make with them and they are so beneficial for everything. Specially for your digestion and skin health. Try a smoothie with any milk of your preference and also with orange juice in the mornings. If you freeze the chunks you can make sorbet and don’t need much more than agave for extra sweetness....

my mouth is watering right now.....Enjoy them

In Mexico we have papaya for breakfast every day. It was such a shock for me to see the tiny ones when I first arrived here. I used to buy bigger ones in Sainsbury’s but they’ve stopped selling them... sinetimes I see them in markets.

That was the country where I first had this in the breakfast buffet!

I've never actually eaten papaya. I'll have to fix that. I've been obsessed with passion fruit lately.
