I am a complete petrolhead. I currently own a BMW E36 328i (3 series 2.8 litre) convertible, currently rolling on BBS split rims, coilovers, and tons of other mods, got it featured in the member rides mag of Performance BMW Magazine, so i'm kinda famous lol

What are you guys and gals driving? and modifying.

currently I have nothing... but over the years have been heavily involved in the custom and modified car areas.. also into my car audio.

Things I wont modify externally though are things like my rs2000 that I had and my series 1 turbo... as they just needed leaving as was..

Also things like my alfas I left standard. I was more for my performance mods in cars than external..

Would really like a nice old Golf cabriolet though.. and do that up nice as old vws are great to do up.

Too new. My last one was a b reg. Lol

I love my old fords though but love my Alfa's too. My most heavily modified engine wise was my type r Subaru, quick that was. 0-62 in 3.8 seconds and was my daily drive. Car with most character was either my series 1 turbo or my Alfa v6. Although maybe my metro turbo on 15s. That thing was fast for what it was, as had a 1380cc modified engine and straight cut box.

I also liked my s13 200sx lol I kinda get bored

Easy so had lots of cars at once.

My pet hate on modifications is things like special edition cars being modified. Or big wheels without being made to sit right.

Cali

"Seat Leon Cupra R and a Citreon C3 Picasso....."

Pebbles has a Citroen C3 Picasso in shiny bright blue and BamBam has a lovely shiny black Toyota Verso, both brand new in the last few months (12 plates)

You can't beat a brand new car, lovely new smell, beautifully clean (well the Verso is anyway) and less likely to give you trouble

Nowadays, practicality and the need to earn a crust have taken over, so it's an 06 Peugeot 807 for me......

But when I was your age, I was driving one of only a handful of left-hand drive Audi S2 coupes in the UK -

My boss at the time went to the factory in Germany to collect it and got done for speeding on the way back!

"Purchased a TR7 back in 81, bordering on the never released TR8 I believe!. Lovely drop head that was a dream to drive despite most experts saying it's road holding was crap at the time :}

The TR8 was released - there's a guy not far from me who's got one. Fantastic shade of red, and a wonderful exhaust note from the V8 Rover lump under the bonnet. Keeps it in near concours condition.

"

I saw one that sounds like that racing at the strip a few weeks ago.

The TR8 was rubbish, it was detuned and not as powerful as the rover, it also had American emissions equipment which sapped power"

That could explain why the guy near me drives it so slowly.....!!! LMAO!!!

had loads of mk2 and 567 escort rs2000's and 4x4 rs2000's and had one on the front cover of a very well known car mag,got a mk1 escort gt now thats really old school.then i got into cosworths and had 3dr's 4dr's 4x4's etc then the escort cosworths.

used to rally with a mate a grp4 mk2 escort that had a full spec cosworth engine and all the rest of the right bits.

used to have a skip brown lotus sunbeam and loads of other stuff, regarding the dpf the lads in the diagnostic game i use remove it and remap the ecu and take the dpf out,no more trouble again ever, theres nothing worse than regeneration and it comes back to haunt you all the time or goes into limp home mode, just get rid of it and get more power and mpg
