Social. With clubs there’s a distinct “expectation”almost. From both parties as well as others.

Personally I’d rather get to know somebody in a neutral environment and see what happens

I'm quite self conscious sometimes and do worry everyone will be slim and gorgeous

We prefer a social meet but it can be difficult finding suitable couples and then trying to arrange times and places to meet so we will be looking more towards clubs once we can.

For single men though I do prefer socials.

I enjoy the social side of clubs and enjoy getting to know people and if it leads to anything then that’s a bonus.

I can be myself easier at a club, but socials are good fun too (Natural light isn't so kind to my makeup skills!)

And if you think there's an expectation to play with someone at either a social or club, then IMO you're talking to the wrong people. I never expect to play immediately with anyone without a friendship there first, and am quite happy in the company of other like minded souls.

As an aside, I know it's easy for me to say but the worries of clubs being full of "the beautiful people" are completely unfounded. Hell, they let me in ok!

Social, it’s more intimate and a chance to get to know someone better,. A club could probably work too, but do others choose that to seize the opportunity if the social goes well, or so they have a back up plan and the time isn’t wasted if the social doesn’t work out?

I’ve always done a social meet in coffee houses during the daytime, and occasionally an evening drink in a pub. It’s an easy option, with no expectations on either side, and we can both go our separate ways if we don’t click.

For me to visit a club means an hour and a half’s drive, then there’s the single male membership and entry fees, on top of being restricted to single guy ‘friendly’ times.......

Social every time!

Hate having that feeling of being expected to have sex, I’m not a performing monkey lol.

It takes the fun out of it in my eyes. Would rather build the tension up, flirt and go with the flow

We prefer socials in a club, never ever have expectations. We've had great meets, some have lead to fun and some just great craic. No one should go to a club with expectations, just a view to having a great night amongst like minded people
