Sounding is the process of inserting sounding tools (usually rods ranging from very thin to quite quick) inside the male urethra for pain and pleasure. I have only done it for pleasure and it is great fun. To be fair, I did baulk the very first time as I felt uncertain and the rod started coming out a bit pink. My partner was saying that it was fine but I was uncomfortable and we stopped. Next time it went swimmingly hence my positive attitude about it. Always good to know what you are doing and if in doubt, just stop and do something else instead

Well, yes and no. If the man is not restrained and is free to move then what is he risking? Not much. More importantly one of the people need to have some knowledge and experience - if the receiver knows then he can guide the giver. In the case of restraints and power exchange being involved then sure, it would require trust.
